An attractive new frame – developed to meet the needs of riders seeking a high performance bike constructed from quality materials and held to the ultimate standard of workmanship that is synonymous with Colnago. The structure is a unique, new monocoque design – with carbon fiber dropouts.

The CLX is a product that points to the favorable ratio of stiffness to lightness and comfort. Building on our experience with the V1-r, the concept of conceiving the design of the various tubes was simple. We found an oblique, oversized tube set that embraced a large bottom bracket area (with a standard Colnago ThreadFit82.5 system) and a conical seat tube for use with lighter and more comfortable 27.2mm diameter seatposts. Another important feature is the internal cable routing, which keeps the frame aesthetics absolutely clean. Eight sizes are available, all sloping (42s, 45s, 48s, 50s, 52s, 54s, 56s, 58), in four colors. The frame weighs only 950 grams.
